Basketball Game Preview: Converse Wildcats vs. Hornbeck Hornets

The Converse Wildcats will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Hornbeck Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Converse duked it out with Castor on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 65-47 bruising from the Tigers. The Wildcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hornbeck). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 94-47 win over Johnson Bayou. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The win got Hornbeck back to even at 2-2. As for Converse, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Converse took a serious blow against Hornbeck in their previous meeting back in January, falling 65-27. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
