Baseball Recap: Legend Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Legend and Regis Jesuit, and Regis Jesuit kept the tradition alive. The Titans took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders on Wednesday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Legend got a good showing from Ashton Gray, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Gray has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Legend saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Silas Meuli, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Legend has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Regis Jesuit, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Legend will challenge rival Ponderosa at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Regis Jesuit is set to square off against their familiar foe Douglas County at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
