Soccer Game Preview: Treasure Coast vs. Jupiter

Treasure Coast is 2-8 against Jupiter since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Treasure Coast Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Jupiter Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Treasure Coast is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Olympia a 4-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Treasure Coast.

They hit Olympia with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Deanna Romero, Jordan Robert, Findley Wessel, and Rebecca Barros.

Meanwhile, Jupiter came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Longhorns 7-1. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Longhorns are ranked 112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jupiter's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those ten games. As for Treasure Coast, their win bumped their record up to 9-6-4.

Treasure Coast suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Jupiter in their previous matchup back in January. Can Treasure Coast avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
