Baseball Recap: Midway Comes Up Short

Midway and Rockwall squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Midway had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10-1. As for Rockwall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-14-3 record this season.

While Midway had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
