Softball Game Preview: Phoenix Spartans vs. Port Allen Pelicans

The Phoenix Spartans will head out to challenge the Port Allen Pelicans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Phoenix will be strutting in after a win while Port Allen will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Phoenix turned things around against Morris Jeff last Monday. They put the hurt on the Pelicans with a sharp 18-3 victory.

Meanwhile, Port Allen lost 18-5 to West Feliciana on Tuesday.

Sydney Davenport made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Port Allen's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Phoenix, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3.
