Softball Recap: Huron Comes Up Short

Huron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Skyline Eagles. Even if the River Rats couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Annie Pinsky and Isabelle Ledezma did some serious damage despite the final result: Pinsky scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Ledezma went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mya Stewart, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Huron's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Skyline, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Huron will head out on the road to face off against Pinckney at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Skyline, they will be playing at home against Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
