Baseball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Valley View's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Arlington Lions on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly three runs.

Valley View saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Dandridge, who went 2-for-4 with one double. Angel Melendez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Valley View has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Arlington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

While Valley View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
