Softball Recap: Lafayette Fighting Irish vs. Penney Hornets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Osage, Lafayette was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Penney Hornets out 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Fighting Irish have posted since September 5th.
Lafayette's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Penney, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Lafayette will take on Falls City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette is facing Falls City at the right time seeing as Falls City is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Penney, they will square off against Plattsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
