Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockwall-Heath Hawks. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joscelyn Stamper paced Cherokee's offense, picking up five kills. Stamper got some help from Lilly Lossiah and her eight assists. Daisee Fourkiller-Raby and Kennedy Moore kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Rockwall-Heath, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Cherokee has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Hayesville on the 2nd. As for Rockwall-Heath, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Sunrise Mountain on the 30th.
