Baseball Recap: Altamont Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Altamont was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell 6-2 to the Bryce Valley Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 last Friday.

Altamont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briggs Wall, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Wall has hit this season.

Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Bryce Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Altamont will challenge Piute at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunderbirds have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Bryce Valley, they will face off against Pinnacle at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
