Volleyball Recap: Avon Orioles vs. Fishers Tigers        
        
		
             Avon waltzed into their contest  on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Everything went their way against the Fishers Tigers as they made off with  a  3-0 win. For the Orioles, this counts as revenge for the   3-2 defeat the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in September of 2023.
 Avon never let Fishers on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14,  25-21.
 Leading Avon to victory were  Stella Hamood and  Isabelle Brown.  Hamood  had 13  digs and two  aces, while  Brown  hit 85.7% for six  killseight  digs and 38  assists. The last time  Brown's  hitting percentage was this high was  back in August.
 Avon has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record  this season. As for Fishers,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 16-11 record.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avon will challenge McCutcheon at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Avon will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak  alive. As for Fishers, they will take on Mt. Vernon at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Mt. Vernon will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Fishers surely won't give up without a fight.
