Basketball Recap: Johnsonville Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Johnsonville needed a changed in momentum after dropping eight straight games and they got it from Takhari Ross. The Johnsonville Flashes strolled past the Kingstree Blazers with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 56-39 thanks in part to Ross, who went 9 for 20 on his way to 25 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Terry Parrot, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Parrot is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Johnsonville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Kingstree, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Johnsonville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-36 loss against Andrews on the 13th. As for Kingstree, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-43 defeat against Marion on the 13th.
