Softball Recap: Maryville Red Rebels vs. West Rebels

In what's become a running theme this season, Maryville gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They never let the West Rebels onto the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Maryville.

Bekah Duck was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Duck has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive pitching appearances. Duck was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Maryville got a massive performance out of Kristy McCord, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Thea Kote was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

On West's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Humphreys, who went 1-for-2 with a triple.
