Basketball Recap: Zac Jacobs Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Clearwater

El Dorado won the last time they faced Clearwater and things went their way on Friday too. The El Dorado Wildcats came out on top against the Clearwater Indians by a score of 55-42.

El Dorado's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zac Jacobs led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Jacobs continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Greene, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards.

El Dorado smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

El Dorado picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-12. As for Clearwater, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Looking ahead, El Dorado will host Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clearwater, they will head out on the road to challenge Rose Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clearwater is facing Rose Hill at the right time seeing as Rose Hill is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
