Baseball Recap: Ralston's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Ralston won the last time they faced Platte Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Rams never let Platte Valley get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Ralston got a great performance from Daniel Blaufuss as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Blaufuss a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Cade Stix and Brayden Vandervort did most of the damage at the plate: Stix went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Vandervort went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Landen Buechler, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Ralston's record is now 12-4. As for Platte Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
