Volleyball Recap: Flagstaff Christian Falls to Telesis Prep in First Game of Season

Flagstaff Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Telesis Prep Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Flagstaff Christian sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 15-25, 25-12, 20-25, 15-5.

The win was the seventh in a row (dating back to last season) for Telesis Prep, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Flagstaff Christian will take on American Heritage Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The game will give Flagstaff Christian their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Telesis Prep, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on September 9.
