Basketball Recap: Lincoln Liggins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Arlington over King

Arlington was the 69-58 winner over King when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Arlington Lions fell 63-55 to the King Wolves on Friday. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Arlington's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lincoln Liggins, who went 7 for 17 en route to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Liggins' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Legend Liggins was another key player, going 7 of 16 on his way to 20 points.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for King, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

Arlington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-37 loss against Poly on the 28th. King has also already played their next contest, a 51-46 defeat against Norco on the 27th.
