Basketball Recap: Timnath Cubs vs. Loveland Red Wolves

After flying high against Greeley Central last Thursday, Timnath came back down to earth. The Timnath Cubs fell just short of the Loveland Red Wolves by a score of 54-51 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cubs have suffered since December 19, 2024.

Leading Loveland to victory were Zayne Desouza and Jackson Gebhardt. Desouza dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards, while Gebhardt went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. What's more, Gebhardt also posted four assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Jax Poole was another key player, putting up two points and six assists.

Timnath's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Loveland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.
