Volleyball Recap: Aragon Dons vs. Ripon Indians
With a playoff game on the line, Aragon rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Ripon Indians.
While Aragon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-23.
Sophie Rubinstein paced Aragon's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rubinstein got some help from
Gabriella Xiao and her 24 assists.
Poppy Mckenzie controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Aragon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-17 record this season. As for Ripon, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 30-3.
Aragon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Salinas on the 14th. Ripon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
