Basketball Recap: East Greenwich Piles Up the Points Against Exeter-West Greenwich

East Greenwich had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights 74-47. That looming 74-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Avengers yet this season.

East Greenwich got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rees Maccarone out in front who posted 20 points. Maccarone's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Quinn Scaramella was another key player, putting up 19 points.

East Greenwich pushed their record up to 11-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 20.4 points. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
