Winter Park came tearing into Wednesday's contest with 24 straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Winter Park not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept New Smyrna Beach between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 25-16.

Amelia Mancino paced Winter Park's offense, picking up 16 kills. Mancino got some help from Paige Lehman and her 20 assists. Mancino was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Winter Park's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winter Park will host Hagerty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for New Smyrna Beach, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Viera at 7:00 p.m.
