Football Recap: Mojave Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lone Pine

Mojave had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 3-5 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Lone Pine Golden Eagles by a score of 82-72. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Jordan Davis, who rushed for 468 yards and eight scores while picking up 18.7 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 157.8 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Chillis, who gained 181 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mojave was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 640 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

As for Lone Pine, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), they still had to take the loss.

Lone Pine's loss came despite strong showings from Gustavo Caro and Tommy Fogarty. Caro gained 273 total yards and five touchdowns, while Fogarty threw for 330 yards and four TDs. Caro was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 65 yards.
