Basketball Game Preview: Beth Tfiloh Warriors vs. Key Obezags

The Beth Tfiloh Warriors will face off against the Key Obezags at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Beth Tfiloh is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Beth Tfiloh ended up a good deal behind Sts. Peter & Paul and lost 60-45.

Meanwhile, Key suffered their biggest loss since January 29, 2024 on Friday. They lost 69-46 to Sts. Peter & Paul.

Defeat or not, Key got some senior leadership from Angus Lunt-Woodward and Austin Neise. Lunt-Woodward posted 19 points and three steals, while Neise had eight points in addition to 11 boards and four blocks. What's more, Lunt-Woodward also posted a 43% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024. Anjo Yette was another key player, going 5 for 12 to rack up 11 points.

Beth Tfiloh's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Key, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

Beth Tfiloh beat Key 65-55 in their previous matchup back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Yette, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Beth Tfiloh still be able to contain Yette? There's only one way to find out.
