Charles J. Colgan proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 16) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hylton Bulldogs 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Sharks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Dorsey Grose spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alecia McCray, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Charles J. Colgan's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Hylton, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Charles J. Colgan will head out to challenge Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
