Football Recap: Carrollton Hawks vs. Oakwood Comets
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Carrollton walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over the Oakwood Comets on Saturday. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Hawks were the (much) better team in the second half.
Charlie Stumpf was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and one TD. Those 49 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.
Although Oakwood took the loss, they still got scores from Collin Furry and Alex Wallace.
