Football Recap: Carrollton Finds Playoff Glory Versus Oakwood + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Carrollton walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over the Oakwood Comets on Saturday. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Hawks were the (much) better team in the second half.

Charlie Stumpf was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and one TD. Those 49 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Although Oakwood took the loss, they still got scores from Collin Furry and Alex Wallace.

The victory was the third in a row for Carrollton, bringing their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.7 points over those games. As for Oakwood, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.

As of now, neither Carrollton nor the Comets have any future games scheduled.
