Volleyball Recap: Vista Grande Takes a Loss

Vista Grande had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-3 to make it eight. They came up short against the Mesquite Wildcats, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Mesquite, they now have a winning record of 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

Mesquite was led to victory by Deliliah Nielsen and Cami White. Nielsen had six digs and three aces, while White had eight aces and five digs. The dominant performance also gave White a new career-high in assists (13).

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vista Grande will face off against Cactus Shadows at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mesquite, they will take on Bradshaw Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
