It was a good run, but Long Beach Poly unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Centennial Golden Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jackrabbits of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Long Beach Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Long Beach Poly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Camarillo on the 4th. As for Centennial, they will square off against Frontier at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
