Volleyball Recap: Nashoba Regional Find Success

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Nashoba Regional and Leominster, and Nashoba Regional kept the tradition alive. The Wolves walked away with a 3-1 win over the Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

While Nashoba Regional might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Leominster scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Kelsey Dinjian paced Nashoba Regional's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dinjian got some help from Siena Torili and her 16 assists. Melanie Gould and Rita Mainini kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with six aces apiece.

The victory got Nashoba Regional back to even at 2-2. As for Leominster, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nashoba Regional is headed away from home for the first time to take on Groton-Dunstable at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Leominster, they will head out to challenge Fitchburg at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
