Football Recap: Burlingame Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road + How To Watch

Burlingame dropped to 6-4 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 24-14 to the San Mateo Bearcats. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

When it comes to explaining why Burlingame lost, don't look at Danny O'Sullivan. Despite the final result, he picked up 56 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

As for San Mateo, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.3 points over those games.

Lukas Fitzgerald had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 171 yards and three scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September.

Coming up, Burlingame will square off against Half Moon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. San Mateo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
