Softball Game Preview: Drew Central Pirates vs. Rison Wildcats

Drew Central is 0-5 against Rison since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Drew Central is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Crossett, falling 14-3.

Meanwhile, Rison lost 18-4 to Star City on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rison saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlese Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Johnson launched this season. Another was Riley Hyatt, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Drew Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Rison, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
