Preview: Poteet Aggies vs. Sunnybrook Christian Lions
The Poteet Aggies will be playing at home against the Sunnybrook Christian Lions at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Poteet couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of McMullen County. Poteet has not had much luck with McMullen County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, even though Sabinal scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Sunnybrook Christian still came out on top. Sunnybrook Christian managed a 63-59 victory over Sabinal. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sunnybrook Christian.
Christian Huber had a dynamite game for Sunnybrook Christian, scoring 32 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Huber has scored at least 25% of Sunnybrook Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Minica, who scored 17 points.
Poteet's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Sunnybrook Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Poteet took a serious blow against Sunnybrook Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, falling 87-53. Can Poteet avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
