Baseball Recap: Nevada Comes Up Short

Nevada made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Carlisle, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cubs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cubs have suffered since May 30th.

Nevada has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season. As for Carlisle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-10.

Nevada does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carlisle, they will challenge Gilbert on Monday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
