Basketball Game Preview: Millry Wildcats vs. McIntosh Demons

Millry hasn't had much luck against McIntosh recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Millry Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the McIntosh Demons at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Millry is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 22nd straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They were outmatched by Southern Choctaw and fell 39-11. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Indians are ranked 181st).

Meanwhile, McIntosh suffered their biggest loss since January 29, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt a 57-29 defeat at the hands of Jackson.

McIntosh's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Millry, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Millry was dealt a bruising 74-9 loss at the hands of McIntosh in their previous meeting on Friday. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Millry was down 39-9.
