Basketball Recap: Berkley Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matches, Berkley finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Pontiac Phoenix 56-27. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Drew Sermo and Sam Sermo certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Drew posted nine points and five rebounds, while Sam put up seven points. Drew continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Berkley's record is now 3-3. As for Pontiac, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkley will host Southfield Arts & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pontiac, they will be playing at home against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
