Football Recap: Timo Ural and Tyler Weisberg Pace Tamalpais Defense

Tamalpais fought the good fight in their overtime match against San Rafael on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 22-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Red Tailed Hawks were up 14-0 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Although Tamalpais took the loss, they still got scores from Timo Ural and David Keane.

Tamalpais didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ural and Tyler Weisberg.

Will Healy went supernova For San Rafael., picking up 157 receiving yards and three TDs. Healy was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 63 yards. Lachlan Royston was another key player, throwing for 278 yards and three touchdowns.

Tamalpais is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for San Rafael, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Tamalpais will take on Marin Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for San Rafael, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Healdsburg at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
