Volleyball Game Preview: Carrollton Trojans vs. Northside Patriots + How To Watch

The Carrollton Trojans will square off against the Northside Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Carrollton was able to grind out a solid victory over Heritage, taking the game 2-0. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Carrollton took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10.

Carrollton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Sims, who had 12 assists and two aces.

Sims wasn't the only good servers: Carrollton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Northside posted their closest victory since August 26th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Glenwood.

Northside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Carrollton, their win bumped their record up to 16-18.
