Volleyball Recap: Geneva Takes a Loss

Geneva was the 2-1 winner over West Aurora when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackhawks on Monday.

While Geneva ultimately came up short, they really made West Aurora work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 27-25.

Geneva's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for West Aurora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Geneva will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenbard North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for West Aurora, they will head out on the road to face off against Streamwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
