Football Recap: Dixie's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dixie). They blew past the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes 44-22 on Friday. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Flashes, too.

Dixie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandon Nance, who rushed for 145 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Nance has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Jayden Martin helped out on the ground, rushing for 121 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

The win (which was Dixie's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points over those games. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
