Volleyball Recap: St. Stephens Indians vs. East Burke Cavaliers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln Charter, St. Stephens was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the East Burke Cavaliers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.
St. Stephens was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-19.
Addison Granger paced St. Stephens' offense, picking up ten kills. Granger got some help from Addison Smith and her 14 assists. Kendall Mohl controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
St. Stephens now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Burke, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
St. Stephens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Ashe County on the 19th. As for East Burke, they will take on Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
