Baseball Recap: Hilliard Bradley Comes Up Short

Hilliard Bradley fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Dublin Coffman on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rocks by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 on Monday.

Hilliard Bradley's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-9. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only three runs. As for Dublin Coffman, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Hilliard Bradley will head out to take on St. Charles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dublin Coffman, they will welcome Olentangy Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
