It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mile High Academy can now relate to. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 49-33 to the Springfield Longhorns. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Cobi Mackey was her usual excellent self, putting up 25 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds for Springfield. Mackey's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jersey Speck, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Mile High Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Mile High Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springfield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-32 loss against Evangel Christian Academy on the 7th.
