Softball Recap: Carrabec Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Buckfield

Carrabec faced Buckfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cobras lost 13-2 to the Bucks. The game marked the Cobras' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Aiyana Tibbetts was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Carrabec fell to 6-1. As for Buckfield, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrabec will head out to face off against Temple Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras are facing the Bereans at the right time seeing as the Bereans are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Buckfield, they will venture away from home to take on Sacopee Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.13 runs per game on average), something the Bucks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
