Volleyball Recap: Fairhope Falls Short Against Ranked Spanish Fort

Fairhope faced Spanish Fort in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Toros. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Toros recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Leading Spanish Fort to victory were Victoria Holley and Bryce Turner. Holley had 13 digs and three assists, while Turner had five digs and one assist.

Fairhope's defeat dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Spanish Fort, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 44-7.

Looking ahead, Fairhope will host James Clemens at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spanish Fort, they will square off against Pelham at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
