Volleyball Recap: Cisne Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Cisne posted their closest victory since October 7, 2024 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces. While the Runnin' Lions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Cisne who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Mt. Carmel had strong showings from Mattie Armstrong, who had 14 digs and eight assists, and Gabby Schneider, who had four digs and two aces.

Cisne pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mt. Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Cisne has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Woodlawn on the 16th. As for Mt. Carmel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Robinson on the 18th.
