Basketball Recap: Sweet Grass County Comes Up Short

Sweet Grass County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the Huntley Project Red Devils on Tuesday, falling 73-48. While losing is never fun, the Sheepherders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Red Devils are ranked second).

Sweet Grass County's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Huntley Project, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Sweet Grass County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shepherd at 4:00 p.m. on February 8th. Huntley Project has already played their next game (against Lodge Grass), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
