Softball Game Preview: Green Hope Falcons vs. Green Level Gators

The Green Hope Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Green Level Gators at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Green Hope has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Green Hope came up short against Panther Creek and fell 12-7.

Meanwhile, Green Level fell victim to Apex and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Cougars. The defeat continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost eight in a row.

Green Level saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shiloh Lynch, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Lynch has hit this season.

Green Level's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Green Hope, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Green Hope skirted past Green Level 9-8 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
