It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Western Albemarle had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They never let the Cave Spring Knights get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Give Western Albemarle's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Western Albemarle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight contests. Having lost for the first time this season, Cave Spring fell to 21-1.
