Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Western Albemarle walked away with it. They never let the Cave Spring Knights get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Saturday. Western Albemarle's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six matchups.

Sadie Bruton and Chloe Gates scored both of Western Albemarle's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Western Albemarle's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Cave Spring, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 21-1.
