Basketball Recap: Emma Netherton Key Part of a Team Effort in Trojans Win

There's no place like home for Las Animas, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Crowley County Chargers by a score of 30-20 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Las Animas got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Netherton out in front who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds gave Netherton a new career-high. Analyce Wilson was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Las Animas smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Crowley County lost, don't look at Alexis Rusher. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points and three steals.
