St. Luke's Episcopal had won five straight games and Emma Kate Frazier did her part to make it six on Thursday. The Wildcats came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Faith Academy Rams for which the team can thank Frazier, who had 25 digs and four aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game.

St. Luke's Episcopal had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 9-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19, 15-13.

St. Luke's Episcopal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Watson led the charge by getting 13 digs. That's the most digs Watson has posted since back in October of 2024. Hannah Lockett also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

St. Luke's Episcopal was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faith Academy only served six aces.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Academy lost, don't look at Kyleigh Grosz. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and two assists. Grosz has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last three times she's played.

St. Luke's Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Faith Academy, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.
